From Shepparton News 18/11/13 He didn’t win the Australian Mas- ters, or even threaten the top of the leaderboard, but Jarrod Lyle won the hearts of the fans as he drew on his limited physical reserves to com- plete his first full tournament after a second battle with leukemia. After walking off the 18th green yesterday the score didn’t really matter. His eight-over-par final round, which included six bogeys, a dou- ble bogey and a triple bogey wasn’t a great surprise to the Shepparton professional, who said he realised on Saturday it would be a physical struggle. ‘‘Yesterday was my fourth day in a row including the pro-am and I hadn’t played more than four days, so the last nine holes yesterday I could really feel I was struggling,’’ he said. ‘‘I went for a walk this morning to get some bread
